sacred stream album art. poledra made the album art once again, it’s the peaceful waterfalls that the album evokes.

sacred stream was a fun album to work on. i’ve been having a lot of fun with the korg kiev synth on the nintendo korg synth package. the organic nature of the sweeping, morphing synth combined with simple drums and fairly sparse melodic elements made for really open tracks that are perfect listening for vibing or driving.

i’m pushing as close to modular synthesis as i can without jumping in fully on this album. modular synthesis stuff usually makes me feel very uneasy, so i’m surprised that this this close-but-not-there project was as satisfying to work on as it was.

i’ve been playing a lot of phantasy star universe recently so i took that as huge inspiration. the track names are all zones in that game. it’s been a ton of fun to vibe in that space, especially with this music.

there’s really not too much else to say with regards to inspiration or methods - this album came about very quickly, organically, and simply. for being such a light snack of a project, it’s extremely satisfying personally to listen to; i’ll get a lot of mileage out of this one.
